Give Your Eyes a POP of Color!

Ever get bored of plain ol' black liner? Well, have no fear, RONNIE IS HERE! Today I have a fast and simple way to give your makeup look a pop of color without being too out there. I chose to use green, but you can use whatever color you'd like!  Pair it with a bright lip for a super fun look, or tone it down a notch with a nude gloss. You can also throw on some lashes for a more dramatic look, as I did:

FACE:
  • Loreal True Match Foundation in Warm Beige
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC20

EYES:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • NYX Eyeshadow in Geisha all over lids, up to brow bone
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in a mixture of "Naked" and "Buck" to create a delicate cut crease and on lower lash line
  • Wet N Wild Liquid Liner in Black
  • Matte Green eyeshadow from BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 2nd Edition mixed with Makeup Forever's Fix spray to create a liner
  • ELF Mineral Mascara in Black
  • ELF Dramatic Lashes
  • Wet N Wild Pencil in White on waterline

CHEEKS:
  • NYC Blush in Riverside Rose

LIPS:
  • Cover Girl Lipstick in Fairytale

I know this isn't my typical smokey eye, but I still hope you guys enjoy this look and that you guys will try it on yourselves someday. This really is one of the easiest ways to pull off color, and it's uber cute and sexy as well. Give it a shot!

Have an amazing weekend, everyone! <3

  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one to do this. Funny thing is that the only color I've been brave enough to try is green too! I used L'oreal's HIP gel/cream liner in green. It never occurred to me to use a little bit of black liner too. I'll try that next time.

    Awesome as always!

  3. I was going to ask what eyeliner you used and i'm amazed to read it was a shadow! Definitely going to figure out a way to do this as I have 2 of the BH palettes myself.

  9. Love the green! Your liner is absolutely perfect. :)

I like double lining sometimes when I get sick of my neutral eye and want to incorporate colour to make it less boring. :P

  10. Thanks girls...means a lot!

Liquid liner is for sure one of the most difficult makeup techniques and requires a lot of patience and practice. To make it a bit more simple, try sitting your elbow on a hard surface (table, vanity, desk, whatever!), and rest your pinky finger on your cheek for some balance. It will give you more control. Don't just apply it with one swipe either. I like to start in the middle using small strokes to get to initial shape and wing, then I just fill in the rest. Another tip is do create the line as best as you can, then dip a pointed q-tip in makeup remover, and clean up your mistakes. I hope this helps some of you!
