Katniss Everdeen. The girl who was on fire. (2nd Hunger Games Look)

Hello, my beautiful followers! Here is the second Katniss Everdeen inspired look. This look is inspired by the dress that Katniss wore to her interview at capitol. Katniss' district, district 12, is known for mining. Instead of the usual boring "coal dust" for inspiration, her stylist, Cinna decided to umph it up with this stunning dress based on fire. The gown is made completely of precious jewels in flame colors, reflecting the lighting to make her look like she is "engulfed in flames".

Fan art....but this is EXACTLY how I pictured the dress to be!

The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen Inspired Look!

Alright...I'm a total bookworm. I'm not ashamed of it either! I totally love to read. When I first came across the Hunger Games Trilogy, I didn't think I'd be interested (I'm into sappy love stories and fantasies, lol). But I just couldn't help picking up the first book after reading so many great reviews about it. I have never, ever been so sucked into a book before...I couldn't stop reading! It is intense, unique, fun and terrifying. I definitely recommend this trilogy!

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen
From Wikipedia:
The Hunger Games takes place in an unidentified future time period after the destruction of North America, in a nation known as Panem. Panem consists of a wealthy Capitol and twelve surrounding, poorer districts. District 12, where the book begins, is located in the coal-rich region that was formerly Appalachia.
As punishment for a previous rebellion against the Capitol, every year one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district are selected at random and forced to participate in the Hunger Games, a televised event in which the participants, or "tributes", must fight to the death in a dangerous outdoor arena until only one remains. The story follows fatherless 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a girl from District 12 who volunteers for the 74th Games in place of her younger sister, Primrose. Also participating from District 12 is Peeta Mellark, a boy whom Katniss knows from school and who once gave her bread when her family was starving.

The first look that I created was inspired by Katniss' surroundings; The woods. She lives and hunts there and it is her main source of survival. The green and brown represent the foliage in the woods, and the gold is for the golden mockingjay pin that was given to her by the mayor's daughter. (note that katniss doesn't really wear makeup; this look is INSPIRED by her and her surroundings)

Seven Deadly Sins Series *GLUTTONY*

Hey guys and gals! Here is the seventh and final look of my Seven Deadly Sins Series with GLUTTONY. This was definitely the most challenging of all the sins. I tried many, MANY looks and I hated most of them. I finally came up with this one on a whim, and I was quite satisfied. Gluttony is the over-indulgence and/or over-consumption of anything (typically food and drinks) to the point of waste. Depending on the culture, Gluttony can be seen as a sign on power or a sign of weakness. Punishment for Gluttony is being force fed rats, toads and snakes and the virtue is temperance.

Om nom nom nom!

YAY!! 100 Follower Giveaway *CLOSED*!

YAY! Is this real life?! Did I REALLY hit 100 followers? This is amazing! Thank you sooo much to each and every single one of you. When I started my blog a couple of months ago, I never would have guessed that I would reach 10, yet alone ONE HUNDRED followers. I literally would sit there and stare at the words "No one is following you yet." It means more than you guys know, and knowing that you guys enjoy my posts and my work makes me want to continue blogging. Here are some gifs to help me express my excitement and gratitude. I LOVE YOU GUYS! <3

So in order to thank you all even further, I am hosting a giveaway! I will be giving away some of my all time favorite products. This giveaway is in no way sponsored and all the prizes are payed for out of my own pocket. I just want to show my gratitude to all of lovely followers! <3

(Click the picture to enlarge)
  • 2 Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks. I've mentioned these before in a past blog post and let me tell you, I love these things! The chocolate one smells good enough to eat and they leave your skin feeling clean, soft, and smooth. My all time favorite masks, for sure!
  • 1 EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm. Once you try this lip balm, I bet you will never go back to any other balm. It smells heavenly...just like lemonade. It leaves your lips feeling smooth and moisturized for a very long time. The packaging is adorable and unique too!
  • 1 ELF Lipstick in Seductive. One of my all time favorite lipsticks! It is the perfect mauvy pinkish shade. It's totally wearable, yet bright and fun. I love the consistency of this lipstick as well. It's smooth and has somewhat of a matte finish and last on my lips for hours.
  • 1 Pair of ELF Dramatic Lashes. These lashes take your eyes from "blah" to "WOW". They give you lots of drama and sex appeal. They come with clear lash glue, too!
  • 1 ELF Studio Blush in Candid Coral. I have gone through about 3 of these babies. I absolutely love it. It is a perfect shimmery coral blush that warms up your skin tone. It's also a pretty close dupe for Benefit's Coralista.
  • 2 Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes in 'Blue Had Me at Hello' and 'Petal Pusher'. Wet N Wild sure has outdone themselves. These are BY FAR, some of the smoothest, most pigmented eyeshadows I have ever tried. Even bypassing some department store brands. These palettes are always sold out and I drove pretty far out to get these! I'm telling you, they are THAT awesome!

    Seven Deadly Sins Series *SLOTH*

Hey guys! Here is the sixth look in my Seven Deadly Sins Series, with SLOTH. This is probably the sin I am most guilty of (I love to sleep!). Sloth is described and defined as spiritual and emotional apathy and being physically and emotionally inactive. Sloth can also indicate a wasting due to lack of use, concerning a person, place, thing, skill, or intangible ideal that would require maintenance, refinement, or support to continue to exist. The virtue for sloth is DILIGENCE and the punishment is to be thrown into snake pits...YIKES!

Of course, you can go ahead and rock this look without the blue eyebrows...but I wanted to add to the drama! I made the headband using grey and blue ribbon, and used a hair clip to attach some Spanish moss to complete the look.

    • Max Factor Pan Stick in Nude
    • NYC Loose Translucent Powder

    • NYX Eyeshadow Base
    • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Gun Metal on center of top and bottom lids
    • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Virgin on browbone and on top of Gun Metal to highlight
    • BH Cosmetics Eyeshadows in a medium and navy matte blue mixed together around silver and on eyebrows
    • Blue eyeliner in water line
    • Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in Black
    • Blue Liner over black liner to create a dark blue shade
    • Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara

    • MAC Blush in Dame

    • Loreal Lipstick in In The Buff
    • ELF Lipstain and Gloss Duo in Birthday Suit

AW! I want a pet sloth.

So there you guys have it! I am so sad that there is only one sin to go, (Gluttony) and I think that is going to be the most challenging one yet. But hey, I'm always up for a challenge! I really hope you guys like this look. As always, if you guys have any question, comments or concerns, you know what to do :)
