Parisian New Year

Bonjour, mesdames et messieurs! I hope you all had a magical holiday with friends, family and loved ones. I had a great one and it was nice to relax and enjoy the good company.

2012 is just around the corner and if you're looking for a look to wear for a NYE party or event that will stand out in the crowd, then this look is for you! I was inspired by a couple of images that I googled of NYE in Paris (I am obsessed with anything Paris/France). It is super dramatic, yet romantic and glowing.

Can you imagine spending NYE in beautiful Paris and getting that magical and special midnight kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower? Le siiiigh. I'm such a sap!

I really hope you guys enjoyed this look. I know it's been a while, and I truly apologize. The holidays are an extremely busy time for me, so I hope you all forgive me. So once the new year starts, I am planning on filming more (and better) tutorials for you guys! I've been getting a lot of requests for my Mystical Nebula look, so that will be the first one that I do.

Have a lovely NYE and an even better new year. I hope 2012 is filled with joy, happiness and good health and that it is even better than 2011 for you all. This year was definitely one of the toughest ones yet for me, but I believe it has made me stronger. I went through a lot of sorrow, pain and sadness, but I cannot let that stop me. I can only hope that 2012 will bring me good vibes.

SO! What is your new years resolution? My resolution for this year was to be more assertive and stop being a doormat, and I totally accomplished it. For 2012, I would like to take better care of my health, and not to sweat the small things anymore. Life is way too short and fragile to worry about everything.

Jusqu'à la prochaine fois...Au revoir!

Favorite Bloggers Showcase!

I think it is safe to say that most of us here in the blogging world are always looking for new and inspiring I right, or am I right? You can never have enough people on your list to admire! If you've been looking for some awesome new reads with talented people, then look no further. I have gathered my all time favorite bloggers (with some new, and recently discovered ones as well).

Gotta spread the love!

I hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do...I'm positive that you will not be disappointed!

Let's get to it! In no particular order...

Sonja is one of the first people I started following when I started blogging back in May. She provides STUNNING high quality and detailed photos of her beautiful looks. My favorites tend to be her flawless smokey eye looks. A lot of her looks are inspired by nature, which I absolutely love. She also posts detailed reviews and swatches, and just recently started making video tutorials. Check her out, you won't regret it!

Meredith is another one of the very first people I started following and has also been there rooting for me from the very beginning! In her own words, she is my "#1 Stalker Fan", haha. She is remarkably talented, and I have had the pleasure to have collaborated with her multiple times. She is a blast, has a very well written and put together blog. Her looks never, ever disappoint and her photos are incredibly sharp, and beautiful. Video tutorials are also provided. Also, you MUST check out her "Game of Thrones" series!

Kassie from

Kassie is so talented, and has the most piercing blue eyes I have ever seen! She is a total sweetheart, and is only in high school, is very mature for her age, and is just great all around. We have a lot of similar interests as well. Love this girl, and her work. Make sure you check out her Disney Princess Series and Sailor Moon Series...they are incredible! Kassie also makes video tutorials!

Dawn from

Dawn is totally awesome! Her blog is mainly focused on creating looks that are inspired by comics, anime, etc. Her blog is unique, fun and definitely creative. Her looks are always well thought out and put together too. Also, we have developed a great friendship over the past couple of months. I have also collaborated with Dawn in the past, and definitely will again in the futute!

I love reading Mandy's blog and I adore her EOTD/LOTDs, Her looks are more one the wearable side, but still offer a punch of fierceness. Her photos of swatches are on point, and her reviews are very detailed. I think she absolutely gorgeous too!

This chick needs to be working on movie sets! Her works is spectacular, and so damn creative and unique. I first came across her on MakeupBee and have been hooked ever since. She also has fabulous NOTDs. If you ever need an ounce of inspiration, then head on over to her blog!

Hilary is another talented young girl who comes up with gorgeous looks every time she posts. She is currently doing a 30 day makeup challenge and each one so far has been stunning!

Ailah provides beautiful, wearable looks that are sure to make a statement. She also does step-by-step picture tutorials, swatches and reviews! I totally envy her lips too, lol!

*Newest & Recently Discovered Favorites!*

Karolina from

I just recently found Karolina on MakeupBee a couple of days ago and I am seriously blown away by her talent and amazing makeup application! She also has great nail designs. She is from Poland, so you might need to use Google translate. Totally worth the rough translation!

Ana's work of art is out of this world! She specializes in special fx, fantasy and dramatic makeup, but has wearable works as well. Why isn't she working in Hollywood again? This chick is UNBELIEVABLE. When I first saw her Frank Miller Sin City inspired look, I literally had to do a double take and pick my jaw up from the floor. It looks like a drawing! Insane.

Elin is from Norway and she is 100% pure TALENT. Her specialty is special fx makeup as well and she is pretty damn good at it. She should be getting paid good money for the things she does. She also is amazing at wearable looks as well. It is pure art, and you will be amazed by her work, trust me!

Cecilie is a sweet and talented young girl also from Norway. Her looks are always super fun, colorful and glittery! She's also known for adorning her her brows with cute glitter and decals. There is never a dull moment with her looks. They surely are creative, and are total eye candy!

So there you guys have it! I have other favorites as well, but that would've made an almost infinite post! Maybe I'll do a part 2 some time in the near future. Who are YOUR favorite bloggers? Please share them with me, I'd love to discover even more talent.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Take care!

Silver Lining

Hey, hey, hey! TGIF, right?! Is it just me, or is this month going by at the speed of light? This year deserves a speeding ticket. Funny how time goes by so slowly when you're a kid, and now all you want for Christmas is more time on the clock! Oh well...C'est la vie!

Here I have yet another holiday appropriate look with one of my all time favorite combos: silver and pink! It's fun, yet elegant in my opinion. The eye look is pretty simple to do as well. All you need are white, silver and black shadows (shimmers look best for the holidays) and some simple blending. These are probably the easiest colors to blend, since they are monochromatic. Add some glitter (of course) for an even more sparkly, look-at-me gaze!

“Clouds may come, but clouds must go, and they all have a silver lining. For behind each cloud you know, the sun, or moon, is shining.”
I really hope you guys enjoy this look! I know it's a bit simple, but I've been in a creative rut lately. Don't you just hate that? I need some inspiration!

Anyway, on a more personal note...I am so glad that I am pretty much done with gift shopping! I love buying gifts for people, but I hate the crowds! I wish I would've started sooner, then I could have ordered everything online without them risking being late!

I also have a couple of gifts under the tree from my hubby and I am desperately trying to figure out what they are, but I'm stumped! Womp womp.

I hope you are all doing well and that your holiday shopping is going according to plan! Have a safe and fun weekend guys! MUAH!

MakeupBee and Lime Crime Collaboration (Part Two)!

Hey everyone! I'm back (and sooner than expected) with part two of the MakeupBee and Lime Crime collaboration! I'm actually really happy with this look, and I did not want to wash it off, lol. It's totally holiday party appropriate too, and can be worn with any eye color. If green isn't your thing, simply switch to another jewel toned shade. Also, who says you can't do bold eyes with a bold lip? I think it's acceptable for a night time holiday event. But if you aren't brave enough to do so, pair this up with a soft pink lip, or even a nude shade. Whatever you decide, this is definitely a look that will not go unnoticed!

MakeupBee and Lime Crime Collaboration (Part One)!

Hello, my beautiful readers! It's time for yet another MakeupBee collaboration...this time featuring Lime Crime Makeup.

The Queen Bees were given one Carousel Lipgloss, one lipstick, two shadows and one Eyeshadow Helper and were instructed to create two looks with the products. I am very fortunate to own all five of the Carousel glosses and it was really tough to choose just one to create a look with. I went ahead and picked Kaleidoscope, which is an extremely pigmented plum/purple with flecks of turquoise sparkle. It is absolutely beautiful. For the eyes, I picked the eyeshadow perfectly named Empress, a vibrant royal purple. I paired it along with a deep blue and turquoise to compliment the lip gloss.
