Sugarpill Cold Chemistry Collection Palette - Look, Review & Swatches

Say hello to Sugarpill's newest collection, Cold Chemistry! When I first gazed at this beautiful palette, I instantly fell in love. Sugarpill is known for their bright and vibrant colors, so it was refreshing to see a palette from the company that featured deep, rich, sultry shades (you all know how I love dark colors)! Sugarpill describes this collection as: "A dark collision of glamour and nocturnal worlds. Four richly pigmented shimmering meteoric shades". I couldn't have described it better myself! This palette was a collaboration with the lovely Amelia Arsenic.

Some or all products shown in this post may have been provided by the said brand(s) for potential review and/or use. For more information, please read my DISCLAIMER.

The Cold Chemistry palette is beautifully adorned with diamonds, crystals and shatters mimicking the eyeshadow colors within. Unlike Sugarpill's other palettes which are squared, this quad palette comes in a rectangular case. It's made out of smooth, sturdy cardboard and the print on it is both matte and glossy giving it texture and dimension.
The mirror is a cute and funky touch! I love that it's angular, like a piece of broken glass, or ice. It's smaller than other palette mirrors, but it does the job!

Soot & Stars is a metallic gunmetal grayish-black with multi-colored sparkles. It's like Stella in pressed powder form!

Diamond Eyes is a frosty satin white with crystalline sheen.

Elemental Chaos is a deep, cool toned purple shimmer with iridescent blue undertones.

Subterranean is a lustrous peacock forest green with navy blue undertones.

Swatches applied over BFTE Eye and Lip Primer.
From L to R: Soot & Stars, Diamond Eyes, Elemental Chaos and Subterranean.

I cannot put into words how much I adore this palette! Not just the packaging and name, but the colors are simply fantastic. As much as I love Sugarpill's bright colors, these dark shades just light up my world (ironically). Two of my absolute favorite colors to wear with my eyes are purple and green, and I am also obsessed with glitter, so these scream Ronnie! Soots & Stars is orgasmic - it is packed with prismatic glitter and shimmer that I couldn't capture on camera. It totally looks like a galaxy in eyeshadow form and that makes me a happy camper. Diamond Eyes is gorgeous as well; it's a lovely frosty white that looks stunning as an inner corner highlight. Elemental Chaos is such a pretty purple! Unlike Poison Plum, this is a much cooler purple with a blue undertone. And Subterranean is my newest obsession. It's so deep and sexy and I just want to smother it all over my face.

As many of us already know, Sugarpill's eyeshadows are of superior quality and they pack a punch in the pigmentation department. These are highly pigmented on their own, but they go to a whole new level with a primer. They last until you wash them off, and best of all, they apply like a dream. They are smooth, and blend so well. Their eye makeup, in my humble opinion, is among the best on the market and it baffles me why they aren't in Sephora yet. The only very minor downfall with these is that there is a tiny bit of glitter fallout, but that comes with the territory of glittery makeup. I recommend applying your eye makeup before your foundation to avoid making a mess of your pretty face. Besides that, everything else about the Cold Chemistry palette is hands-down awesome and beautiful!

The Cold Chemistry Palette is available at www.sugarpillshop.com for $34 USD, or you can buy each eyeshadow individually in a compact for $12 USD each. I should mention that Sugarpill offers free worldwide shipping on orders over $100, and $6 flat-rate shipping for US orders. Sugarpill is cruelty-free and most of their shades are vegan!

I hope you guys enjoyed the look, review and swatches! I really love Sugarpill products, and I love recommending them to you all. They are a great company with spectacular makeup. What is your favorite shade in this palette? Mine is definitely Subterranean! It is so luscious and I want to marry it.

Take care, and see you soon!

  1. Once again a fabulous look :) Not sure if I'll be buying the full palette personally as I already have my dark eyeshadows (and too many in general) but out of all 4, Elemental Chaos is definitely the one that's calling out to me the most.
